Chalkboard paint and I are dating. We’re still in the initial honeymoon stage, and I’m sure there will come a time where I’m over its shenanigans and move on to chalk paint, but today is not that day.
Last week, when I made my 100th trip to Target, I spotted these cuties in the $1 aisle. They were stacked inside some sweet little white and gray chevron tins, so I grabbed the bunch of them, assuming that they were just a solid turquoise. WRONG!
While they have a sweet sentiment on them, it’s not exactly something that fits in our house. Rather than returning them (and also, $2 is not worth an hour drive back down south), I figured I could find something to do with them. Enter my favorite…
I really love this stuff. Great money spent.
Once those babies were taped up, they got a few coats of paint…
and through the magic of blogging, they were instantly dried and ready to be used!
(Or maybe it took a couple of days…I’ll never tell).
They’ll be perfect for so many things…pencil holders, candy tins, hair tie holders, memory card containers, and the list goes on and on.
What have you made lately with chalkboard paint?
P.S. Boston is in my heart and on my mind. I adore that city with everything that I have and am devastated at its losses on one of it’s happiest and proudest days.
