A few weeks ago, I reorganized our office. Then I tackled this strange little wall by the doorway:
It’s a wierd size, and it doesn’t help that the doorways aren’t lined up, so it looks vaguely ridiculous. Also, who’s brilliant idea was it to paint the walls white and the trim gray? They must have been dyslexic…
I made them so that they would fit almost perfectly between the trims, and managed to fit 4 between the top of the doorways and the light plate.
I’ve got a bunch of postcards that I’ve either collected or been sent that I love…ones I bought in Greece, one that my BFF sent me from Ireland, some UN mementos, etc. In all honesty, they’ve been sitting in a folder that I brought with me from California (3 years ago…procrastinating for the win!), and I never really knew what to do with them. This project was PERFECT.
Using paper that I already had on hand, I figured out some good colors and then mounted it all together on the cardboard. Also, I am completely embarrassed by this picture because IT IS SO BAD. Don’t hold it against me.
Unfortunately, I don’t remember what I used to stick them to the wall…maybe some 3M tape? Anyways, I love the colors and the stories that the pictures tell. I’m so excited about how my little project came out! The best part was…it was all free! Yay!
