When my sister and I were little, we had to write down our resolutions and share them with our family. I guess it was to encourage us to keep them, but as far as I can remember, it never worked. So now I’ve learned to pare it down to one or two resolutions. Some people resolve to work out every day, or eat healthier. But I know myself and I know that even with setting those kinds of goals, I just have to do them at my own pace.
So, this year, my one resolution is simple: Take one photograph EVERY SINGLE DAY.
Even if it’s a snapshot of something inside (like Jan 1st…sorry, I was slacking already), I am determined to do it all year long. I’m sure that I’ll forget a few days and have to catch up, but that’s okay. By putting it here, I am pushing myself to do it with a public declaration. I’m going to be using my DSLR and iPhone (I don’t carry my camera at work), and I can’t wait to see what I come up with.
I’m going to be putting them on a separate page right up at the top of the screen called “365 Photographs.” I’ve already put up the first two pictures (yeah, I did mention I was a little behind, right?) and I’ll put up the third today.
How about you? Do you have any resolutions? The Fireman has already broken his without even starting it…
