Is that a wierd thing to admit? I really do. We had a sweet washer dryer setup in the old condo, but now with the apartment we’ve got one washer/dryer per building. And we go through a LOT of clothes. Between uniforms and the Fireman basically playing in grease with his brother, I’ve started to spend some quality time bonding with the laundromat. I really have a crush on it. We’re pretty lucky that we’re so close to it (literally less than a 2 minute drive)…and the best part is that it’s almost right next to a great antique store. I love shopping and doing laundry.
Something else I love about actually having to leave the house to do laundry is that I get to take a break. It’s a great time to sit down and read a book, finish a small project, go shopping, paint my nails, etc. In fact, yesterday, I popped over to the antique store and found a big basket full of old 50 cent Country Living magazines…guess what I did for an hour. It’s somehow calming to have no choice to be stuck in there for at least an hour, especially when it’s rainy and gray outside and you’re all warm and happy with a bunch of magazines and warm clothes to fold. Am I weird?
